As Ivy investigates, she uncovers that her superior McCallen took bribes to cover up the tragedy, and that her brother Leo is the Auctioneer's accomplice. The Auctioneer reveals himself as Daniel Wu—a survivor mistakenly pronounced dead, who spent five years orchestrating this reckoning. In the end, Ivy resigns from the FBI and opens a workers' legal aid center in South Side, transforming vengeance into a different kind of justice: ensuring every overlooked injury is finally seen.
